It's hard being hard.

A.T.A.C.K. is an incisive short film that delves into the frustrations of typecasting in the acting industry. The narrative centers around a group of male actors who form a support group called Actors Typecast As Crooks and Killers (A.T.A.C.K.), where they express their grievances about being pigeonholed into stereotypical roles. The film takes a humorous turn when their meeting is interrupted by female actors with their own set of typecasting issues, showcasing the pervasive nature of this problem across gender lines.

The story escalates further with the arrival of real-life interlopers fleeing from the police, adding a layer of chaos and dark comedy to the proceedings. This twist serves as a metaphor for the unpredictability and absurdity of the acting world, where actors often find themselves caught in roles that mirror the extremes of reality.

With a keen sense of irony, A.T.A.C.K. highlights the struggles and stereotypes that actors face, while providing a satirical commentary on the dynamics of acting and the politics of representation in film and television.

Director: Nathalie Boltt
