(2011, 4 minutes)

"Basic Space" explores the realities of sharing a small apartment with a less-than-ideal roommate.

Blending traditional stop-motion techniques with digital technology, this inventive papercraft animation brings paper models and puppets to life through a painstaking process of photographing, printing and cutting out each element.  Combining live action and animation, "Basic Space" creates a tactile, layered visual experience.
