Pia Massie is the granddaughter of US civil rights activist Molly Todd. Massie absorbed the values of two generations of family who used protesting to convey to the public that something was wrong. She moved to Vancouver and joined one of Canada's most famous protests, the War-of-the-Woods protest in Clayoquot Sound on the Vancouver Island. Her arrest had a profound impact on her life, but not her resolve in standing up for issues she believes in. This is her story.

"The Firekeepers" is an inspirational documentary series that highlights the life stories of prominent environmentalists. It is often said that one person can do a lot to inspire positive change, and the people who are featured in this series are amazing examples of how one person can make a difference. They are an inspiration to us all.
