A Blackfoot artist and visual storyteller, Joane Cardinal-Schubert lived and worked in Calgary until her untimely death in September 2009. Her multimedia works reflect a strong spirituality and have been described as visual stories of personal experiences, layered against a backdrop of social and historical issues. Joane talks about her life and work, including the influence of the traditional petroglyphs that dot the Blackfoot country.
