Terry was born at the Curve Lake First Nation north of Peterborough, Ontario. As a youth, this self-taught Ojibway painter watched and learned from his cousin Arthur Schilling. Terry talks about his struggle with alcohol, his lack of formal training and his success as a painter producing unique works that are bold and beautiful.
